Intelligence work is being credited for the discovery of the explosives-filled cargo packages bound for the U.S. from Yemen. A former member of Al Qaeda provided investigators with the information they needed to find the bombs at airports in Britain and Dubai.

Homeland Security Today Editor David Silverberg told the DorobekINSIDER that the incident will probably impact the cargo screening mandate requested by Congress in 2006.
