The agency responsible for providing security in thousands of Federal offices and courthouses across the country is about to get some attention from Capitol Hill. Four key members of the the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee have introduced legislation to reform and modernize the Federal Protective Service by providing funds to hire 500 more employees, and resolving the use of contract security personnel at some federal buildings.
