The gun battles between Mexican soldiers and drug cartels along the U.S. border with Mexico have been getting more intense. But, police aren't the only ones getting caught in the cross-fire.

Homeland Security Today editor David Silverberg tells DorobekINSIDER producer Scott Carr the situation is becoming more dangerous for anyone with a high profile.

HS Today also reports that al Qaeda and its followers see the southern U.S. border as their highway into the homeland - and they are using it in increasing numbers.
