The way the federal government does business with contractors is changing.
Last October, the Office of Management and Budget issued new guidance for agencies on acquisition and the acquisition workforce.
The Acquisition Workforce Development Strategic Plan outlines what agencies should be doing over the next five years to make sure the federal acquisition workforce grows properly.
The Government Accountability Office recently wrote a report about how OMB's plan is working, and found that changes are still needed in the acquisition workforce.
