The United States consumes 25 percent of the world's oil production and controls 3 percent.

A dozen retired military officers have released a new study that makes the case for why the nation's reliance on oil is a serious and urgent national security threat.

We learn more with the executive director of CNA's Military Advisory Board, Sherri Goodman. She is also CNA's general counsel.
