On Executive Suite, we listened to the July 25 hearing before the House Oversight and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Government Operations. It's called "Data Centers and the Cloud: The Federal Government's Take on Optimizing New Information Technologies Opportunities to Save Taxpayers' Money." The subcommittee will look at ways to streamline new technologies to cut IT costs.

The witnesses were David McClure, the associate administrator of the Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies at the General Services Administration; he U.S. Chief Information Officer Steve Van Roekel from the Office of Management and Budget; and David Powner, director of Information Technology and Management Issues at the Government Accountability Office.
