Monday is day one for furloughs at the Defense Department. But a group of unions is trying a last-ditch effort to get Congress to pass a fix for DoD furloughs. Bill Dougan is president of the National Federation of Federal Employees and chairman of the Federal Workers Alliance. He joins In Depth with more.

U.S. Naval Academy
A new generation of cyber warriors is getting some special training in Annapolis. Three dozen midshipmen are now majoring in cyber operations, and every second class midshipman will be required to take cyber classes, according to new Naval Academy guidelines. Andrew Phillips, the academic dean and provost of the United States Naval Academy, joins In Depth to discuss the new cyber curriculum.
Defense contractors have new responsibilities for the supply chain. Changes to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement will require contractors to secure their supply chains, and if they don't do it, they could lose their deals altogether. Paul Debolt, a partner at the Venable law firm, joins In Depth to discuss the new rules.

But the Small Business Administration says many small companies are doing better in government contracting than ever before.
