There’s an old saying in the carpentry business – “measure twice, cut once.” Federal News Radio Senior Correspondent Mike Causey is applying that saying to the federal workforce in his column today – “Congress should measure twice, cut workforce once.”
The Government Accountability Office today decided it does have the right to hear bid protests of task orders. The decision comes even though congressional authority expired May 27. Federal News Radio’s Jason Miller tells us why GAO believes it has the authority and what it means.
The Defense Department says it’s changing the way it thinks about energy. In the Pentagon’s first-ever operational energy strategy, leaders say they plan to start treating fuel as a military capability, rather than just a commodity they have to buy. Federal News Radio’s Jared Serbu has the story.
