The billions of dollars that the ARRA has pumped through the government is giving agencies some financial management headaches. Making those headaches go away was just one topic I covered with Scott McIntyre, a principal at PricewaterhouseCoopers' Advisory practice, and leader of their public sector business.

Scott and I also discussed the state of financial management at the Federal level vs. the state and local level, and public vs. private sectors. We talked about getting clean data out of government information banks, and pushing that data to portals that were usable for citizens. Scott also offered his thoughts on how the agencies are doing at weighing competing proposals and choosing the vendor best equipped to achieve the agency's goals.
