Cynthia A. Cassil

Ms. Cassil is the Director of Systems Integration in the Office of the Chief Information Officer for the US Department of State, where she manages the enterprise information systems and data centers supporting State Department operations throughout the world. Prior to joining the State Department, Ms. Cassil served over 25 years in successive positions of federal technical leadership as the Director of Information Technology for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civilian Personnel; Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Regions and Centers; and CIO and Deputy Chief of Staff for Information Management for the US Army Test and Evaluation Command.

During her career, Ms. Cassil has received numerous commendations and awards for her effective leadership and management of complex technical projects for DoD. These include the Department of Army Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service, awarded by the Secretary of the Army, and the Army Superior Civilian Service Award. She is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute’s Executive Leadership Program, holds a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems and a graduate degree from the American University in Public Administration.
