Thomas (Tom) Boyce, PMP. Boyce is the Deputy CIO, and Director, Office of Information Systems, at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. In this position, he has oversight responsibilities of an IT program with a $100 million/yr budget, and a Government staff of nearly 200. Boyce began his career in private industry as a Computer System Engineer, and joined the Federal Government in 1986. Since that time he has held a series of Information Technology management positions in the Federal Government. Immediately prior to joining the NRC, Boyce managed one of the largest electronic grants management systems in the federal government for the Electronic Research Administration Program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). From 2002 to 2005, he was the Chief Information Officer for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Boyce received his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, University College in College Park, Maryland. Boyce is active in many industry groups, and is former Vice Chair of the ACT-IAC Partners program, and currently vice-chair of the leadership development program for ACT-IAC .
