The Twin Cities area of Western North Dakota has a lot in common with mid-town Manhattan.

Name a hotbed of high rents, low unemployment and economic expansion. We didn’t think of western North Dakota either. But oil exploration has made boomtowns of places like Williston, Dickinson and Watford City. It’s all put a strain on mail delivery. The Postal Service is taking unusual steps to make sure it can attract mail carriers to towns where roughnecks can make 10 times the minimum wage.
