What's the secret to meeting 100 agency performance goals in the next two years?

Agencies have almost 100 specific performance goals and 15 cross-agency priority goals to work on over the next two years. At the same time, agencies release new strategic plans to notify the Office of Management and Budget how they are going to achieve these goals. Beth Cobert, OMB deputy director for management, spoke to Executive Editor Jason Miller about how agencies will improve performance because of these goals.

Earlier on The Federal Drive Jitinder Kohli, a director in Deloitte’s public sector practice, joined Tom and Emily to discuss agency goal-setting. Kohli says having all agencies set their goals at the same time and developing an evidence infrastructure to support decision making could mean a powerful influence on agency performance.
