Today's guests:
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa)
To hear Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) tell it, the Internal Revenue Service received complaints from hundreds of corporate whistleblowers whose companies were evading millions in taxes. And yet, he said, the IRS was slow to jump on this important source of revenue. Grassley was irked when he found out people from the IRS whistleblower office attended a conference concerned with offshore finance. Grassley told us about his beef with the IRS.

Paulette Robinson, iCollege, NDU
Ten years from now, the virtual 3-D world will make advancing your federal career easy and fun. Forget the boring webinar. Think X-Box Kinnect with Continuing Education Units. That's the stuff that makes up next week's 2012 Federal Consortium for Virtual Worlds Conference. Dr. Paulette Robinson is the associate dean for Teaching, Learning and Technology at National Defense University's iCollege and a conference organizer. She recently sat down with Derrick Dortch, host of Fed Access on Federal News Radio, and explained how federal agencies would be using social media and virtual worlds to improve collaboration, share resources and save money.
André Castillo, Veterans Affairs
Retirements from federal service are rising. Replacing the outgoing workforce is a major concern for many agencies. This morning we talked to one person who has made it his mission to recruit new faces into the Department of Veterans Affairs. André Castillo, program manager of the VA Innovation Intern Program at VA, talked about how he created a pathway from internship to employee at VA.
