U.S., Russia co-sponsor cyber resolution
If passed, member nations would share information with each other about how they would use cyber technology during military conflicts.
Russia and the United States don’t always see eye to eye. But they are co-sponsoring a resolution to preempt cyber attacks. NextGov reports that resolution is likely to be adopted by an influential international group this week.
The group is the 56-member Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. If passed, member nations would share information with each other about how they would use cyber technology during military conflicts.
It’s a change of heart for Russia, which was blamed in 2007 for knocking out Internet access in Estonia.
