Military benefit cut back in Frederick, Md.

The City of Frederick has dropped a policy concerning military leave that aldermen deemed too generous to keep.

The City of Frederick, Maryland has dropped a military leave policy. Alderman decided it was just too generous to keep it. The Frederick News Post reports that the revised policy will provide employees their full city salary, plus military pay, for fifteen days. The city will pay the difference between military pay and city salary for up to five years of active-duty service. Before, employees would get their full salary, plus military pay, for six months while on active duty.
