The Defense Department has cut the number of military personnel in Pakistan. The move was requested by Pakistani officials after the killing of Osama bin Laden, according to the Pentagon. A spokesman says there are more than 200 U.S. military personnel in Pakistan. He gave no details for how many had been withdrawn since Pakistan made its request, but he said the pulled troops had been training Pakistani forces in counterinsurgency skills.
