Survey compares federal cyber salaries

Findings have been released for the 2011 (ISC)² Global Information Security Workforce Study.

Federal CIOs appear to have highly competitive salaries compared to the private sector. In fact, a third of C-level cyber security managers who make more than $120,000 a year, work for the federal government, according to a new survey. Of those making between $100,000 and $119,000, a quarter are feds. The survey received responses from more than 10,000 cyber professionals from the private sector and government. It was commissioned by ISC-Squared, a cyber training organization and conducted by the research firm Frost and Sullivan.
