Anne Arundel to train 1,000 for cyber jobs

The cyber security industry needs workers, and is expected to see a shortage as the industry grows. The Baltimore Business Journal reports that the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp is going to try to help. The group is launching the Pathways to Cybersecurity Consortium to train a thousand workers for cybersecurity jobs. The program is backed by a nearly-$5 million federal grant. Workers will not only be trained in the field of cybersecurity, but they’ll be offered job counseling and job placement. The federal government is establishing a cyber command center at Fort Meade set to employ more than a thousand workers.
