West Point cadets test cybersecurity program

Cadets at West Point Military Academy are getting a lesson in cyber threat detection. The cadets are researching ways to automate the detection and response to insider threats in frontline networks. It's part of a year-long senior project. They will work with network monitoring tools in a simulated forward operating environment. The goal: to identify characteristics of normal and malicious behavior within the networks. The Academy says they want students to experience the difficult circumstances they may face in real-life.
