Humana Tricare contract award challenged

UnitedHealthcare is protesting the Defense Department\'s decision to reverse course and award a multibillion-dollar insurance contract to competitor Humana.

The Defense Department has reversed course with its Tricare contract. The $21.8 billion contract was originally awarded to UnitedHealth Group. DOD has since awarded the deal to Humana, after THAT group filed a protest with the Government Accountability Office.
