New cyber tool detonates files in a sandbox

Security Firm HBGary has unveiled a program that can sniff out malware by blowing up copies of files entering or leaving your network. Computer World reports the program sits at the edge of your network. It uses a virtual machine system to copy files and detonate them in a virtual sand box. From there, the software can look for traces of incoming malware and outgoing botnet infections. It can also automatically block traffic from malicious sites.
