The government has a bird’s eye view of malicious internet activity. It plans to share more of what it knows with business and academia. That way, everyone can be warned about possible attacks and take precautions. That plan is outlined by Howard Schmidt, the White House cyber security coordinator. NextGov reports, Schmidt cites several recent examples where government information could help the private sector. For instance, the intelligence community is aware of online probing from China that could result in the loss of intellectual property.
