Defense to swap IT workers with private sector

The Pentagon is launching a pilot program to share IT workers with the private sector.

The Pentagon is launching a pilot program to share IT workers with the private sector. They’ve issued an interim final rule to let DOD send IT workers to private sector organizations for temporary assignments. Defense could also accept employees from the private sector for temporary jobs. Defense says the program will help IT pros hone their skills and help DOD enhance its position and expertise in the IT field. The program is part of the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act.
