Two federal agencies and the financial services industry are teaming to promote cybersecurity for the nation’s banks. The National Institute of Standards and Technology, Homeland Security, and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security have agreed to work together on innovation, addressing cyber vulnerabilities, and keeping financial institutions safe from cyber attack. The public/private partnership will combine expertise, research and development and other resources to test new cyber technologies.
