Future of cyber testing looks to the endpoint

ICSA Labs, a division of Verizon, is launching what it calls an Endpoint Security Consortium. The Consortium will develop ways to test anti-malware software, intrusion prevention and detection tools, and firewalls. The new twist is, it will test these technologies simultaneously to see if they really work together effectively. SearchSecurity.com reports, ISCA Labs is basing its approach on a new model for end-point security. Andrew Hayter, a program manager at the lab, said the integrated testing approach makes it easier to manage security for individual users in an organization.
