How to cybershop with safety

CNN offers six steps consumers can use to protect themselves from scammers as the online buying season kicks into high gear:

The holiday shopping season will be shifting into high gear sooner than you think. CNN.com has six steps for you to stay cyber-secure as you shop online. First, don’t open any attachments or click links if they seem weird. If you have even a shred of doubt, delete. Second, buy a full suite of security software, including anti virus and anti spyware. Keep your browser and operating system up to date. Avoid websites that look like Amazon or BestBuy or legitimate retailers, but are actually fake. Surf with a critical eye.
