Cybersecurity public awareness push launched

Stop. Think. Connect. In that order.

Get used to hearing the phrase: Stop, think, connect. It’s the heart of the latest cyber security public awareness campaign, launched yesterday. White House cyber security coordinator Howard Schmidt uttered the slogan from California during bi-coastal kickoff ceremonies. Schmidt said the campaign is designed to help Americans take responsibility for their own online safety. The Homeland Security Department is a big part of the campaign. It has a web site with information to help people set up local programs to promote online safety.
