Whistleblower disclosure backfires, protections in question

The key whistleblower says prosecutors made false statements to a judge who sentenced him to prison.

A former UBS banker, turned informant says federal prosecutors made false statements about him to a judge who then sentenced him to 40 months in prison. Bradley Birkenfeld has asked the Justice Department to investigate the matter.
