The alleged attempt on Christmas Day to blow up a Detroit-bound plane shows just how vulnerable the U-S still is to foreign attack - even eight years after 9-11.

How will the Department of Homeland Security react to this latest apparent attempt to commit an act of terror on U-S soil?

Rick Nelson is a senior fellow in the International Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

He joins us to discuss the events over the weekend and what they might mean for DHS in particular.
