How can technology help agencies stretch their IT budgets? MeriTalk, an online community focusing on IT and public policy, has recently co-authored a report (pdf) promoting open source software, cloud computing and virtualization as a way to save some big bucks in strenuous economic times. Now we should note, the report was underwritten in part by DLT Solutions and Red Hat – two companies with interest in those technologies.
