Capitol Hill was abuzz yesterday as two prominent senators learned whether they would be stripped of their committee assignments, and in one case a Senate seat. Connecticut Independent Senator Joe Lieberman’s fate was up in the air due to his support of Senator John McCain during the election. And we learned this morning that Alaska Republican Senator Ted Stevens lost his bid for re-election after his felony conviction earlier this year.
