Amtower and in-studio guest Louis Numkin are joined via phone by Gretchen Morris to discuss all things FISSEA – Federal Information Systems Security Educators Assoociation. FISSEAs 22nd annual conference is coming up March 24-26 at NIST HQ in Gaithersburg MD. FISSEA members represent most federal agencies and are responsible for security awareness and training throughout their respective agencies. Members also include those in the private sector who support the group mission. Amtower and his guest discuss the history of FISSEA, the role of FISSEA in promoting government-wide awareness of computer security issues, training and certification. Louis Numkin is a retired Fed and current FISSEA conference chairman. Gretchen Morris is a contractor. Both sit on the FISSEA Board.
