The Defense Department sealed the deal on what could be a nearly $800 million equipment contract. The Defense Logistics Agency signed the papers with Caterpillar for commercial type construction equipment.
The fixed-price contract would benefit all four DoD military branches. Caterpillar will perform the work in a number of states and overseas, in places like England, Belgium and Ireland. The contract runs through Spring of 2017.
