• Executive Chef Matt Adler is in to talk about Osteria Morini’s Maialata event on 9/14: the restaurant’s end of summer pig roast.
• Seriously Delish is the new cookbook from Jessica Merchant, author of the popular blog, How Sweet Eats. It celebrates the calories that we love. She’s on to talk strawberry soda floats to burgers, baked goods and more that we just love … calories be damned!
• What’s the deal with moonshine? Suddenly it’s on everyone’s lips – literally and figuratively. Vince Riggi and Brian Marks of Belle Isle Moonshine are in to talk about the resurgence of America’s favorite, and previously illicit, pleasure.
• Chef Ethan McKee is the man in the kitchen at the newly renovated Urbana in DC’s Kimpton Palomar. He’s in to share talk and tastes of his new, fall menu.
• The guys who put the “wild” in Wilder- Ari and Micah Wilder – are among the folks running Chaplain, which opened last July in Shaw – they’re to mix up mocktails of their cocktails and to tell us about the new guy in charge of Chaplain’s kitchen, Executive Chef Myo Htun.
