June 20, 2014 — On this “FEDtalk”, Dr. Janice Presser, CEO of The Gabriel Institute, and Virginia Gibson, senior manager, Human Capital Practice Lead at Grant Thornton, joined host Julie Perkins to discuss performance reviews and how they can be improved.

They provide an overview of federal performance reviews and goals, including why they are needed, the differences in those reviews for different levels of employees, and how the goals for federal performance reviews compare to the goals for performance reviews in the private sector.

Dr. Presser, and Gibson also discuss what makes a good performance review and how the appraisals help federal managers and individual government employees.
