SBA headquarters closed due to water outage

The Small Business Administration's Washington headquarters at 409 3rd St., S.W., is closed Friday due to a water outage, according to an SBA statement.

The Small Business Administration’s Washington headquarters at 409 3rd St., S.W., is closed Friday due to a water outage, according to an SBA statement.

The outage affects the building’s water supply and air conditioning systems.

Government employees of SBA will be on administrative leave status for the day.

SBA spokesman Fred Baldassaro said the outage is expected to last about 8 hours. He said employees will be able to access the IT systems.

About 900 people work in the headquarters building.
