The Defense Department is considering how to make the acquisition of all of its products more sustainable.
A working group has spent the last six months analyzing all the different approaches large companies use to manage and measure sustainability over the lifecycle of a product.
Paul Yaroschak, DoD's deputy director for chemical and material risk management directorate, told Federal News Radio's Jason Miller about how DoD is trying to green its acquisition approach.
