For the third year in a row, a senior attorney in the Justice Department has been picked for the Top Prosecutor Award from the group Women in Federal Law Enforcement.

Kristy Parker was picked this year for her work on a Kentucky case that sent three local jail officials to prison.

The three were found guilty of having an 18-year old traffic offender locked in a cell with violent inmates.

The teen was assaulted and raped in the Grant County, Kentucky jail.

Parker works for the Criminal Section of the Justice Department Civil Rights Division.
