  • Congress can’t avoid the meat cleaver of sequestration, and those cuts — about $234 million this year — may have a disproportionate impact on the legislative branch. But it’s not clear that these reductions will be enough to induce legislators to undo, downsize or postpone the government-wide cuts coming March 1. Bloomberg Government’s Senior Defense Analyst Dr. Kevin Brancato breaks down the sequester with Allen Scott.

Before joining Bloomberg, he was a management scientist at the RAND Corporation, where he analyzed weapon system costs and defense manpower policies. He received a B.A. in math from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University.
