The Women’s Center 28th Annual Leadership Conference Saturday, April 5, 2014 8am – 3:30pm at McLean Hilton
The 28th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, to be held on April 5th at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner, will celebrate “The Power to Influence” and explore women’s roles as leaders in all aspects of life, including government, journalism and education. Sharing their diverse paths to success, this year’s roster of speakers already includes several prominent women, with more being announced soon. Confirmed speakers include:
Maureen Bunyan, award winning journalist, lead co-anchor on WJLA-TV, founder of the International Women’s Media Foundation, and 2014 National Association of Black Journalists honoree
Holly Petraeus, described to NPR as “mom, apple pie and also a pit bull,” she has taken on the financial scams and illegal foreclosures faced by military families
Anne-Marie Slaughter, Princeton professor, State Department policy director under Hillary Clinton, and author of “Why Women Still Can’t Have It All,” the most popular article ever published in The Atlantic

The event takes place from 8:00a.m. to 3:30p.m., and includes continental breakfast, luncheon, raffle and door prizes. There will also be networking opportunities, vendors and book signings. Registration fees are $175 for Donor Circle Members, or $195 for non-members. Sponsorships are available from $2,750 for a table as well as leadership sponsorships.
