USDA plans for second version of green IT strategy

The Agriculture Department is preparing version 2 of its green IT strategy.
This update comes as USDA enjoys some of the benefits of its initial version that came out about 18 months ago.
Chris Smith is USDA's chief information officer. He tells Federal News Radio's Jason Miller about the energy and cost savings from power management, virtualization and other technology improvements.
