Center for New American Security releases new publications on Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development

The State Department's first ever Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review (QDDR) is due in September. According to the State Department, the QDDR is being completed because "21st century global changes require rethinking the way America leads diplomacy and development efforts. The QDDR will strengthen and elevate diplomacy and development as key pillars of U.S. foreign policy."
The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) released three publications today that offer policy recommendations for the QDDR team.
- Planning Diplomacy and Development: Force Planning Applications for the State Department and USAID
- Eye to the Future: Refocusing State Department Policy Planning
- Rebuilding Diplomacy: A Survey of Past Calls for State Department Transformation
