NASA and Justice Assist Toyota Inquiry

Learn why the space agency in particular is helping out.

NASA scientists and federal law enforcement officials are assisting with the safety investigation into Toyota’s recalls of millions of vehicles, federal regulators said Wednesday. The New York Times reports that the space agency is helping the NTSB review the electronic throttle control system on Toyota vehicles. The Department of Justice is also helping the safety agency out. They’re reviewing volumes and volumes of documents about whether Toyota’s recalls for sticking pedals and floor mats were broad enough.
