FBI takes control of troubled Sentinel project

The FBI plans to take over management of Sentinel, its $451 million case management project from primary contractor Lockheed Martin.

The FBI plans to take over management of Sentinel, the $451 million case management project from primary contractor Lockheed Martin, Information Week reports.

The hope is that more reliance on in-house FBI employees will save the agency from delays and rising costs.

Lockheed Martin was awarded the contract back in 2006 to overhaul the agency’s outdated system.
