The Office of Government Information Services might not be a household name. It's only two years old and is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. But it has an important role in furthering a much older law, the Freedom of Information Act.

"We've been working from the very beginning with the Department of Justice to be sure that we're complementary," said Miriam Nisbet, director of the Office of Government Information Services, who was at the DoJ for about 15 years. "DoJ has been the legal advisor on the Freedom of Information Act ... for about 30 years. We're the new kids on the block."
