A lot of what federal agencies do has its roots in action from Congress. Congress writes the laws and federal employees implement them.
But the President says Congress is moving too slowly. So he's issued an executive order to change some inner workings at the Food and Drug Administration.
Julian Pecquet, a staff writer for The Hill newspaper, joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Amy Morris to discuss how the Executive Order affects the FDA's day-to-day business.
