Wireless networks have become commonplace at agencies, but are those networks secure?

The Government Accountability Office new report says vulnerabilities remain, due in large part to the inconsistent policies, decentralized network management and numerous weaknesses in the configurations of laptops and smartphones.

The report highlighted six governmentwide steps and more than 120 agency-specific suggestions to improve the security of wireless networks.
