Energy hit with $2M bill after four cyber attacks

Recent cyber attacks have left the Energy Department with a $2 million bill.

The agency recently fell victim to four cyber breaches, according to NextGov reports.

Energy Inspector General Gregory Friedman says management didn’t correctly monitor the performance of security safeguards. The agency didn’t stop unauthorized users from using or modifying data on Web programs.
