DoD sees future in military children, families

DoD explored new ideas for military families and child education during the Military Child Education Coalition 15th National Training Seminar.

The future workforce of the Defense Department lies in part with the children of military families. DoD is working hard to improve its child education opportunities, and it explored new ideas during the Military Child Education Coalition 15th National Training Seminar. It was at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel in Maryland and wrapped up July 9.

Among the highlights of the seminar was a panel discussion with Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp, Lt. Gen. Darrell Jones, the deputy chief of staff for manpower at the U.S Air Force, and Edward Cannon, program director of Fleet and Family Readiness of the Naval Installations Command.
